I think your understanding is the point of your writing.

I did not say: "must". I said: "should". That forgiveness remained an unnamed idea surprised me.

If I were to write on my blog and not name an idea I was writing about, I would want someone to ask about it. So I could think about why I did not name it.

Reasons I do not name an idea vary: I do not think the idea was that term; I may have a disassociation between the term and its definition; or I may not know the term.

I want to be able to think about these things, but if no one points them out...

That is why I asked.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1802474194961847860.post-80686357206682261582011-06-06T19:12:24.893-07:002011-06-06T19:12:24.893-07:00Okay, so if the point of forgivenes is present and...Okay, so if the point of forgivenes is present and you understand that then why must I include the written word "forgive"? I write from the heart and not from any set standard in mind and my answer is simply, "I don't know." And, no, "forgive" is not the first word I think of when I think of God, but "love".Deb Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05924884316858785359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1802474194961847860.post-63045697438879362562011-06-06T18:49:13.743-07:002011-06-06T18:49:13.743-07:00Alright, I will try:

It should be here.

Not only did you forgive in this story, but that boy also forgave you.

When you think of God and his love: Forgiving isn't the first word that comes to your mind. You have no idea what a process this has been or what it will continue to be to purge my mind of heartless, cold, unloving religion. It may take a lifetime and I've come a long way from where I was. I'm not sure if you went back to the beginning of this blog and read the first posts, but it may help you in understanding from whence I came and to where I go.

IC, you wouldn't make it five minutes in this house!

Tragedy 101, I am not sure how to answer you. It reminded me of another story I have heard about a prodigal child being made to wait until the adults thought he had suffered their rejection sufficiently.

What a contrast to the Lord's story of the prodigal, where the father rushed down to road to meet him with joy!

Thank you for sharing your change of heart. May it come sooner for all who read here, should they have a similar situation crop up.

I am glad you chose Love. =)shadowspringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15172112981244682382noreply@blogger.com
